[ He might not boot this man out of his bed ever, to be honest. This sleeping next to someone thing is going to spoil him. ]

I've only got the one bed back home anyway. Might as well get used to it.

[But Alec does not seem like the sort to keep a guest room ready for… guests, anyhow.]

[ He chuckles, the sound rumbling where Henry has his head laid against Alec's chest. ]

That's because you would have fussed at me for not making my bed.

[ And Henry saw Alec's "guest room". It was full of computers. ]

[Yes. Definitely not a guest room for guests.

That sound, though. It's pleasant.]

I wouldn't have fussed too much.

[Wow. Here, he does angle back a little, just enough to tilt his head up and look at Alec, brow raised.]

[Actually, now that he thinks back... Has there been a time when he's visited Alec's room and the bed has been made?]

[ Oh, absolutely not. Alec keeps most everything else decently neat, and he's a real stickler over a clean kitchen, but the bed? He never makes the bed. ]

I mean, it's probably not the worst thing you've ever seen.

Looks at him for a few seconds more.]

Is that code for "I never make my bed, ever"?

Why bother? I'm in and out of that bed at such odd hours, I'm not gonna take the time to make it every time.

But if there’s one thing in a room that should always be straightened, it’s the bed. It makes everything else look more presentable when it’s made.

If that's how you really feel, then you can make the bed from now on.

[But what a way to undo his willingness to argue the point — not that he had much conviction behind this “complaint” in the first place.]

And… I guess making your messy bed isn’t too much of a chore, considering everything you’re doing for me, anyhow.

[ He laughs, slides his fingers through Henry's hair. ]

Small price to pay, huh? Still, I promise I'll make it worth it.

[Suddenly, he feels like he will happily deal with an eternity of unmade beds to hear things like that from Alec.]

[Holds onto him a little tighter, a little closer.]

We just have to leave this place.

[ Oh, he feels the way that embrace tightens in every fiber of his being. His heart practically throbs in response. God, he never wants to let this go. ]

[ To Alec's credit, he doesn't grimace outwardly. After all the stuff with Komaeda's palace and, well... this, he'd nearly forgotten about his fight with Sprezzatura. ]
